5 Questions About Jennifer Government

1. Why did the author write this book?
I personally believe the author wrote this book to show people that we all take our lives for granted. There are so many people that think their lives are terrible when in reality, their life is pretty much the same as everybody elses. Though I also believe he wrote this book to teach people how to take control of their own lives. Maybe not as dramatically as these characters did, but we can't let people step all over us either. In the novel, both Hack and Buy were fairly shy and at first they were completely okay with that, but eventually they realized that they needed to take charge and I feel that there are many people in our society that could benefit from taking charge of their own lives just like Hack and Buy.

2. Do you think John Nike will ever control his own company and try to take over again?
I am back and forth on this topic, I do believe he has the potential to rise to the top again because it wasn't hard for him at all the first time, though there are many people that hate him for everythig he tried to do to the community so it will be more difficult to accomplish the task this time. John Nike is a very persuasive person so in a few years he may be able to persuade some people to let him back into business but I believe they would be very cautious of him but probably not cautious enough. John will do whatever he can to get to the top and I personally feel as though he could definitely accomplish his goal and have Jennifer Government chasing after him once again.

3. Why do you think Jennifer trusted Buy to watch her kid after she just met him?
There were a few factor that made Jennifer trust this man that she just met. First of all, Jennifer has obviously seen a lot of good and bad people in her life considering she has worked a couple different jobs and she has worked for the Government for awhile so, Jennifer probably has no diffiulty determining whether people are truly good or not when she meets them. Another factor would be the fact that she spent the night with him and overall he was a nice guy and didn't try to hurt her in any way when he actually had a motive to because she iterviewed him and almost accused him of killing Hayley McDonalds. Finally, I believe she was just really desperate to find somebody to watch her daughter and Buy was right there so he was the obvious choice.

4. Why did Hack suddenly decide to become such a rebel? Did Hack take it too far?
I can completely understand why Hack decided to become such a rebel, he was tired of people stepping all over him and I don't believe there is any problem with taking charge of your own life but Hack did take it too far. If Hack had decided to take charge of his own life by just becoming more assertive when people tried to walk all over him then that would be fine, everybody needs to have a backbone and stand up for themselves. Though when Hack started to vandalize property and do other illegal actions he had taken it too far. Committing crimes is not being assertive, it's just being dumb. Did he gain anything from the crimes he commit? Nope. He only had a thirst to do more and more crimes which was not good for him.

5. Do you think Violet will ever be herself again?
This is a tough question to answer because I know for a fact that after a traumatic experience, some people can return to their old selves and live out their lives though others cannot. In my opinion, Violet is one of those people who cannot continue on with life. It seems as though she just gone, she has completely forgotten who she was and that will never change. She used to be a sweet girl but at the end of the novel she was holding a gun to Buy and she actually shot him in the arm. I personally don't believe she felt bad about that either. Violet may be able to change her ways with counseling though there is no promise that she will return to her old self
